Kyle Robinson’s transformation from struggling addict to sought-after motivational speaker is proof that even the darkest moments can become the foundation for future impact. His company, Relentless Repetition, empowers individuals and teams to chase excellence through consistency, resilience, and a disciplined mindset.
When Dreams Collapse
Robinson spent more than six years living out his dream of playing professional baseball. But after an injury and surgery, opioid use turned into addiction. What followed was a long descent: heroin, meth, arrests, homelessness, and more than a year in jail.
“I overdosed seven times,” he says. “I’m alive for a reason: to help others avoid the path I took.”
On November 24, 2019, he made the decision to get sober, a moment that marked the beginning of his comeback.
Finding Purpose After Pain
Relentless Repetition was born from Robinson’s realization that success is not a product of talent but of disciplined, repeated effort.
“It’s the lonely, monotonous work that builds greatness,” he says. “And most people skip that part.”
His message resonates with entrepreneurs, students, athletes, and professionals seeking clarity, motivation, and structure.
Mentors Who Changed His Path
A validating moment came when Robinson met speaker Damon West, a man whose story his mother once sent him while he was lost in addiction. “Meeting him years later felt like fate,” Robinson says.
He also credits Paul Getter and the Speakpreneur community for guiding his early speaking opportunities.
A Life Built on Healthy Habits
To avoid burnout, Robinson prioritizes fitness. “Working out keeps me grounded,” he says. “It’s how I stay sober and sharp.”
Daily gym sessions, sunlight, and outdoor walks anchor his routine and fuel his demanding schedule.
What’s Next for Robinson
Robinson plans to expand his reach across professional sports teams, top-performing colleges, high schools, and leadership organizations. His goal: spread a message of resilience and empower more people to rise after falling.
“I want people to know they can rebuild,” he says. “Your comeback is waiting on the other side of relentless repetition.”
