Every entrepreneur remembers the moment they jumped. For Nick Edwards, that moment came when his side business began to outgrow his full-time job.
“I had clients referring me faster than I could handle,” he recalls. “That’s when I knew it was time to quit and go all in.”
That leap birthed My Leadership Coach, a platform that equips leaders and organizations to achieve clarity, growth, and impact.
From Frustration to Fulfillment
Before launching his company, Edwards spent years leading teams across diverse organizations. The common thread? A lack of clarity.
“I watched business and church leaders struggle with the same problems—communication, consistency, development,” he says. “I wanted to fix that.”
His solution became a set of systems designed to align vision, people, and execution.
Marketing the Mission
Edwards’ early hurdle was marketing himself—something that felt unnatural.
“As a coach, it’s weird to sell yourself,” he admits. “But I realized marketing is just storytelling—helping people see their pain and the path to fix it.”
That mindset shift transformed how he connected with clients. Instead of selling, he started serving through his message.
A Framework for Forward Motion
When asked to define success, Edwards offers a simple yet powerful framework:
- Define your destination. What does success look like to you?
- Get started. Perfection is procrastination in disguise.
- Don’t stop. Every challenge carries the seed of growth.
“Resistance isn’t a sign to quit—it’s a signal that you’re getting closer,” he says.
The Myth of Balance
For Edwards, balance isn’t the goal—mastery is.
“The key is presence,” he says. “Be where you are. If you win at work and lose at home, you’ve still lost.”
His antidote to burnout: learn daily, invest energy intentionally, and make every conversation count.
The Next Chapter
Edwards’ next ventures include the release of Big Dream, Small Steps and his upcoming podcast Leading Forward, debuting in fall 2025. Both will explore leadership, growth, and faith through candid conversations with entrepreneurs who’ve built success from their convictions.
“Faith and leadership aren’t separate,” he says. “They fuel each other.”
