A Vision Years in the Making
For Janie, the concept behind the Women’s Center for SoulCARE began long before the business officially launched.
After returning to graduate school at age fifty-eight, Janie completed a Master’s Degree in Theology, where her final thesis focused on creating a center dedicated to women’s spiritual healing and Christ-centered SoulCARE. Yet despite the clarity of the vision, timing proved important.
Like many entrepreneurs, life responsibilities delayed the dream.
Then came an unexpected partnership.
Kathy first entered Janie’s life as an Airbnb guest. Over time, friendship developed into something much larger. Kathy, who had built success in real estate and entrepreneurship, recognized the value of Janie’s spiritual gifts and encouraged her to finally step into the vision she had carried for years.
Together, they discovered their strengths naturally complemented one another.
Janie became the teacher, spiritual guide, and wisdom leader. Kathy stepped into operations, administration, and visibility, helping build systems and community support around the mission.
“Teamwork truly becomes the dream work,” Janie reflects when describing their partnership.
The Entrepreneurial Burnout Few People Talk About
A major turning point arrived a little more than a year ago at a networking event.
Surrounded by ambitious women entrepreneurs, Janie noticed something beyond professional ambition. Many women were pouring energy into businesses while neglecting themselves emotionally and spiritually.
“I realized this is a harvest field of women who could use strengthening because they are working so hard and not tending to themselves,” she explains.
That insight became the foundation for expanding their mission.
Rather than focusing solely on entrepreneurship, the Women’s Center for SoulCARE seeks to help women flourish holistically by creating healthier rhythms, spiritual grounding, and intentional boundaries to prevent burnout.
Building a Future Rooted in Flourishing
Looking ahead, Janie and Kathy are preparing elegant faith based retreats, monthly community gatherings through the Sisters of the Heart Collective, and a seven month MASTERmind experience designed to guide women through what Janie calls the Sacred Path Adventure. Also running is a monthly SoulCARE Masterclass that women can participate in virtually.
For the founders, success is no longer measured only by growth or achievement.
It is measured by wholeness.
