At an age when most teens are thinking about prom or college, Herrera was navigating how to feed a child—without a job, without legal status, and without a clear path.
Instead of surrendering to his circumstances, he leaned into creativity and resilience. He bred dogs for income. He ran soundboards for his stepdad’s band. He learned sales and marketing out of pure necessity.

“I had to stop trying to be everything to everyone—and start becoming the man I was meant to be.”
