Designer Ciro Evangelista shares his path to building companies and spaces for people to thrive.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ciro Evangelista.

Now, in as much detail as you’re willing to share, why don’t you tell us about what you do?

Hello and thanks for having me! In short I am an entrepreneur in the interior design field. Our company provides (primarily) Home Staging services in New York City. For those not familiar with the term, home staging is the art of transforming a space (mostly houses and apartments) to show its best features for prospective buyers. We do that after working directly with the sales agent and studying the demographic they expect for that property. Then we build a buyer portfolio and design the space targeting the lifestyle they aspire to. Connecting the buyer with their emotion and desire is the most effective way to make an emotional sale like a big one such as real estate. It has worked a hundred times and our clients seem very happy with the turnaround. We also offer home improvement services such as floor refinishing, wall painting and marketing like photography and virtual tour to enhance the work we do on the property listing page.

I have been working in this field for 10 years now, but my background is international politics. I have completed my graduation in public policy in Germany before moving to the USA in 2011. It was a long journey for me. I explored a lot of fields and gathered a lot of different skills to be able to build companies, create spaces and products for individuals and businesses to thrive.

Looking back, what success advice would you give to your younger self?

I love what I do today, but I did not know that I would be doing this in my future. So the best advice I would give myself 20 years ago is to follow your passion and sometimes the hardest part of it will be convincing yourself that it is worth investing in what you love because a lot of people might have different opinions on what is best for you, but in reality only you know!

Do you have any final thoughts you would like to share with our audience?

Information was something harder to have access to when I was growing up, but today it is the opposite. There is a lot of noise and information out there. People also tend to be very loud about their way of thinking or doing things – which can be good for some that want to be a talent in one specific subject, after all the 10.000 hour rule applies for all those individuals that want to master a specific skill. But for most that have not found that way yet, I would suggest exploring and absorbing as much information as possible before dedicating too much time to one thing only. Doing that and focusing on excellence in everything you do, your path will show and when you least expect you will be a long way down the road.

Finally, how can people connect with you and learn more about what you do?
