How Staci Vanzant Is Taking Two Decades of Mental Health Work to the Stage

From Individual Conversations to Larger Rooms

For years, much of Staci Vanzant’s work has happened in a familiar setting: one person, one conversation, one problem at a time.

Now she wants to bring some of those lessons into much larger rooms.

Vanzant, LCSW, NBC-HWC, is the founder of Living Mindfully, LLC and has more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field. Her background spans clinical social work, health and wellness coaching, and mindfulness based practices.

Her next chapter expands that work through keynote speaking, professional workshops, corporate wellness programming, and restorative retreats, with particular attention to healthcare professionals, therapists, educators, and other caregivers.

It is less a departure from clinical work than an extension of what she has observed through it.

A Pattern Worth Talking About

Vanzant has seen how easily people in helping professions can become secondary characters in their own lives.

Their work asks them to pay attention to other people. To listen. To remain calm. To solve problems. To keep showing up.

Those qualities can make someone excellent at caring for others while making it surprisingly easy to overlook their own exhaustion.

“Those who spend their lives caring for others often become the last people they care for,” Vanzant says. “My mission is to help the helpers help themselves by making self care a professional strength rather than a personal luxury. When caregivers are supported, everyone benefits.”

That message now sits at the center of Vanzant’s developing work as a speaker.

Turning Experience Into Practical Tools

Living Mindfully provides counseling, coaching, and wellness services designed around stress reduction, emotional well being, mindfulness, and sustainable personal growth.

Vanzant is translating that experience for professional audiences through conversations about chronic stress, resilience, recovery, and the boundaries required to continue caring without becoming consumed by the role.

The company has completed its second retreat and is currently accepting reservations for future events. Her participation in Speakpreneur’s speaker development event represents another milestone as she moves further into professional speaking.

There is a meaningful difference between working with one person and addressing an organization. The scale changes. The underlying problem often does not.

A therapist may call it burnout. A manager may see disengagement. An employee may simply know that Sunday evening feels heavier than it used to.

Vanzant’s work begins before labels become the most important part of the conversation. She wants people to notice what chronic stress is costing them and develop practical ways to recover.

After decades spent helping people individually, she is betting that some lessons are worth sharing with the whole room.
