Meet Dr. Deanna Marie Hall—a woman whose voice is rising from the background to claim its place at center stage. Known for her heartfelt work with veterans and their spouses, Dr. Hall is stepping into the arena of public speaking with a message rooted in resilience, identity, and self-belief.
For most of her life, Dr. Hall has served others selflessly. “I am Dr. Watson, Robin, and Chewbacca,” she says, comparing herself to famous sidekicks. But now, the time has come for her to lead the narrative. “I want to be known as ‘the main character.'”
Finding Her First Footing
The transition from behind-the-scenes advocate to public figure wasn’t easy. “With so many starting points, I didn’t know where to begin,” she says. That initial uncertainty prompted her to reach out for expert guidance—an empowering decision that laid the foundation for her growth.
Recognizing that even the strongest leaders need mentorship was a defining insight. “I had to ask for help. That made all the difference.”
Shifting the Inner Dialogue
At the core of Dr. Hall’s message is the power of the mind. She speaks candidly about the internal struggles she’s faced and overcome. “I had to change the story in my head,” she notes. “From ‘I’m too old’ to ‘I have valuable experience.'”
Her advice to others? Begin each day in stillness. Avoid reaching for devices, focus on the present, and set intentions. “Prepare mentally for kindness, for setbacks, for grace. Not all rude people are mad at you.”
Life Beyond the Laptop
Maintaining work-life balance is a central part of Dr. Hall’s routine. Her playful Golden Doodle, Cleopatra, plays watchdog to her wellness. “She knows when it’s time for me to step away.”
She also draws strength from cherished time with her mother. “We go on weekend getaways just to laugh and talk. That love keeps me young.”
Her advice is simple yet profound: “Put down the electronics. Love on someone. It’s good for your soul and theirs.”
Building Her Next Chapter
With her Toastmasters schedule booked and a November speaking engagement locked in, Dr. Hall is laying the groundwork for a powerful presence. Her debut book is underway and promises to be both personal and universally empowering.
As she embraces technology (albeit with a few WhatsApp misfires), her vision becomes clearer by the day: share her story, speak with purpose, and inspire others to shift their own mindset.
Dr. Deanna Marie Hall is more than a speaker in the making—she’s a voice the world needs to hear, now more than ever.
